Vape industry leader frustrated at lack of cooperation from county on proposed vape rules

The Utah County Board of Health has compiled a resolution to state legislators with what it would like to see happen during the upcoming legislative session with regards to vaping.

The board’s nine-point resolution asks the legislature to ban all flavored e-cigarette devices and products, limit the signage that vape businesses can use, and increase the taxes on vape products, among other requests.

The Board of Health cited several claims about the dangers of vaping — that students are more likely to use e-cigarettes more than other tobacco products, how nicotine affects adolescent brain development, and a link between vaping and marijuana use among teens.
