(KUTV) — Utah County decided Monday to terminate its mask mandate. However, masks are still required in the county under the state’s new COVID-19 response plan.
The Utah County Health Department posted a letter from the Utah County Board of Commissioners on Twitter Tuesday, stating the mandate is no longer in effect.
The mandate, issued by the Utah County Health Department executive director and the Utah County Board of Commissioners, went into effect on Sept. 22. It was met with a lot of pushback from county leaders and residents.
