LEHI, Utah — Drivers who travel on I-15 through Lehi will start seeing a big decrease in travel times beginning Friday.
The Utah Department of Transportation is opening up two new lanes in both directions of I-15 from Main St. to SR-92.
“As of today, six lanes are now open in both directions on I-15 in Lehi, from Main Street to S.R. 92. Now it’s easier to get to and from work and do business in Silicon Slopes. Before the I-15 Technology Corridor project started, there were just four lanes on I-15 in this area. Removing this bottleneck will reduce travel times on I-15 by up to 50%,” a Facebook post from UDOT said.
