SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — After northern Utah got some much-needed snow this weekend, southern Utah could be next, 2News meteorologists say.
Rain and snow are expected for the southern portion of the state on Monday and Tuesday as a storm moves south out of the Gulf of Alaska.
St. George could see 1 to 3 inches of snow Monday night through Tuesday morning, with higher amounts in the surrounding areas.
In southeast Utah, rain and snow showers are in the forecast through Sunday evening. Heavier snow showers are expected later in the day, which could mean travel problems in areas elevated above 4,000 feet.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the Monticello area until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
