The first day of 2020 in Utah was met with a big snow storm.
Snow showers will become heavy starting at 6 a.m. across the Wasatch Front, then will move into central Utah by midday and into southern Utah by this afternoon.
Valley areas can expect 2 to 5 inches of snow and the mountains will see 10 to 20 inches, according to 2News Meteorologist Lindsay Storrs.
If you are planning to travel on New Year’s Day, the afternoon hours will be better than the morning along the Wasatch Front.
