LEHI, Utah – Lehi High School’s Trey Andersen has flipped his commitment from BYU to the Pitt Panthers in the ACC.
Originally a member of the 2019 recruiting class, Andersen committed to BYU back in January 2019 but never ended up signing a National Letter of Intent before leaving to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The NCAA places a limit on the number of players that schools can announce in a given class. So having a player not sign an NLI isn’t an uncommon practice for BYU. Andersen was a Preferred Walk-On commit at the time he pledged to BYU in 2019.
