LEHI — Pleasant Grove set the tone early.
The Vikings raced out to an 8-2 lead in the first set on the road against Skyridge on Thursday night. The quick start to the first set laid down the foundation for the match, which Pleasant Grove won 3-1 (25-14, 25-11, 21-25, 25-10).
Pleasant Grove’s serving was top-notch in the opening set and helped the Vikings keep possession for much of the first set.
“We have our tough serving that’s made a difference. It helps us go on runs, right off the bat,” Pleasant Grove head coach Allyce Jones said.
