Vineyard Heritage Days may be only a few years old, but that doesn’t mean Vineyard residents don’t know how to celebrate.
According to Sherrie-Kaye Holdaway Miller, the families of Vineyard know how to work hard, and when the work is over they know how to play hard.
Miller is on the Vineyard Heritage Commission. Until four years ago the city had a city celebration and a heritage celebration. With the growth of the city, it was decided to join the two and in 2016 Vineyard started celebrating three days of Vineyard Heritage Days.
When the city was officially incorporated on May 11, 1989, there were a few more than 400 residents, and the rest of the town was open farms bordering Utah Lake and the United States Steel Works Geneva Steel Mill.
