FAIRFIELD, Utah County — Is Camp Floyd haunted?
The public is invited to participate in a paranormal investigation of the camp, which was established in 1858 when U.S. troops were sent to Utah to suppress a rumored Mormon rebellion that never took place.
The investigations will be held on Saturdays this month, Oct. 5, 12, 19 and 26. Each date is limited to 40 participants. Admission fees are $7 per person and reservations are required.
Visitors will get a chance to view the camp’s museums at 6 p.m. before searching for paranormal activity from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own flashlights, recorders and cameras, including digital and infrared cameras. Park staff will assist participants in finding paranormal orbs, mists and sounds.
